The Xiaomi MiPad, the China-based company's first tablet, went on sale for the first time almost 2 months after it was first announced to the public, and was sold out in exactly 3 minutes and 59 seconds!
The tablet, which is currently only available in China, is priced at 1,499 yuan (approximately P10,500) for its 16GB variant and 1,699 yuan (approximately P11,900) for the 64GB one.
At that given price, the 7.9" MiPad which comes with a quad-core NVIDIA Tegra K1 processor, is almost half of that of Apple's Ipad Mini with Retina Display. Other specifications for the MiPad are a 2048x1536 326 PPI screen, an 8 MP rear and 5 MP front camera, and a 16/64 GB flash memory which is extensible to 128GB via microSD card.
There is no news yet as to when the tablet would be on sale outside of Mainland China. Personally, I can't wait for it to arrive in the Philippines and given the rate at which the company is expanding and Xaomi already selling its flagship device, the Mi 3 here, we won't have to wait for long.
